On your device by default
Sensitive data, age, gender, allergies, flares, preferences - all working and encrypted on your phone. Only you can read, export, or delete it.
Your health data isn't ours
We can't tie the health data you send for suggestions back to you, and we don't build a profile of you.

The AI and every request are built around identity-stripping. It is designed so your requests aren't kept, aggregated, or linked to you.
The GoutBye story
GoutBye is personal. In 2015 a gout attack stopped me cold, threw me into hours of pulsating pain I have never known before. The help I found was thin: one prescription, vague 'foods to avoid' advice and that was it. So I began digging into what actually triggers gout, what can reduce it, how to manage it.
That became years of careful work: reading research papers, talking with specialists, watching podcasts, wrapping ideas and ultimately shaping a tool I would actually want to open every day. Pipok, our smiling-foot mascot, made the difference, keeping it fresh and affirmative. I am Martin Tomov, and I am not doing it alone, a small team of researchers, designers, and engineers at ITWS builds GoutBye with me.
The time it took is the point: gout is managed over years, so we build with the same patience. The approach works for me, more than five years flare-free, without allopurinol, just keeping the balance. It may not work for everyone, but I believe it can help many people live better. What is GoutBye?
A mobile app that acts as your personal, interactive assistant for understanding and managing gouty arthritis, with privacy and accessibility in mind.
How does it work?
GoutBye helps you improve your food knowledge, keep yourself hydrated, build positive activities routine and keep the pace with the help of reports, advice, cooking ideas, quizzes, and achievements over time.
Is it on the App Store or Google Play yet?
App is in final testing stage on all three languages: Bulgarian, English and Japanese. App will be released in the second quarter of year 2026. Join the waitlist and you might be selected as an early adopter or beta tester, with instructions how to install.
Is GoutBye free?
Most of the app functionalities are free to use. Advanced functionalities (fridge recipes, reports, suggestions, freezes) can be purchased with coins. Paid plans provide a daily stream of coins. Coins can be purchased also separately.
How do you protect my data?
All sensitive data — gender, age, allergies, related conditions, tracked days — is encrypted and stored only on your device, and you can export it before switching phones. App notifications are local (there is no push-notification server). The only account data we keep is your login info and whether you are a paid user. How is my privacy protected?
Your health data — allergies, conditions, and tracking — lives on your device. When you request a recipe or report suggestion, it's sent stripped of your identity: our AI dispatcher receives only the health details needed for the suggestion, never your account, name, or ID. We don't build a profile of you or store your health data on our servers. Authentication is handled by Logto and subscription status by RevenueCat — neither receives your health data.
What is the GoutBye Research Program (GRP)?
For proven, persistent members, we plan to offer optional, financially incentivised participation in global gout research. This option is not yet available.
